Pennnsylvania fruitsIR-4 has been supplying pest management options to the growers of Pennsylvania for over 40 years. IR-4 researchers and cooperators generate field and laboratory residue data for submission to the U.S. EPA for the purpose of securing regulatory clearances for specialty food crops.

The project also has a Biopesticides Grant and Regulatory Assistance Program and an Ornamentals Program to provide the data to support adding uses to product labels.

To date, IR-4 has contributed to over 7,200 clearances for specialty food crops and over 10,000 ornamental uses.
